TERMS OF SERVICE
Terms of Service
Effective date: 20 July 2026
These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Qick.
Qick is operated by Blanktriangle. In these Terms, “Qick”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the Qick app, website and related services.
By creating an account, using Qick, submitting content to Qick, or upgrading to Qick Plus, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Qick.
The short version
Qick helps you check content before you spend your attention on it.
Qick Scores are informational attention-quality signals. They are not professional advice, fact checks, safety ratings or guarantees.
You are responsible for what you submit, open, watch, read or act on.
Qick Plus renews monthly until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your membership through the platform you subscribed on.
Use Qick fairly, lawfully and respectfully.
What Qick does
Qick is a check-before-you-click app. It helps score links, videos, articles, social posts, images and private screenshot/image checks using a Qick Score and supporting signals such as Value, Bait and Cost.
Qick may use available public information, submitted content, metadata, thumbnails, captions, preview images and AI-assisted processing to generate scores, summaries and related product features.
What Qick does not do
Qick is not a fact checker.
Qick does not guarantee that content is true, false, safe, harmful, accurate, complete, suitable, legal or reliable.
Qick does not provide medical, legal, financial, mental health, safety or professional advice.
You should use your own judgement and, where needed, seek independent advice or verification before relying on content or acting on it.
Who can use Qick
You must be at least 13 years old to use Qick. If the law in your location requires a higher minimum age, you must meet that requirement.
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms.
You are responsible for making sure your use of Qick is allowed where you live.
Your account
You may need an account to use Qick.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens through your account.
You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably up to date.
If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us as soon as possible.
Free and Qick Plus
Qick may offer a Free plan and a paid Qick Plus membership.
Free plan limits and Qick Plus features are shown in the app and may change over time.
Qick Plus may include features such as more daily Qicks, private screenshot/image checks, attention goals, longer-term history, Month+ trends, personal signals and deeper patterns in My Qicks.
Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
Qick Plus is a monthly subscription unless stated otherwise at checkout.
Your membership auto-renews monthly until cancelled.
To avoid future charges, cancel before your next renewal date.
You can manage or cancel your membership through the platform you subscribed on.
If you cancel, Qick Plus stays active until the end of your current billing period.
We do not provide automatic prorated refunds through the app. Refunds, where available, may depend on the payment platform, applicable law and the circumstances of the purchase.
Pricing, features, limits and availability may change over time. If pricing changes apply to your subscription, we will handle this through the relevant payment platform or reasonable notice where required.
Public links and private checks
Qick treats public content and private account activity differently.
When you Qick a public link, Qick may store public metadata, snapshots, scores and related information so the same public content does not need to be rescored repeatedly.
Your personal Qick history, feedback, notes, goals, private screenshot/image checks and private logs are part of your account experience and are not shown publicly as part of the normal product.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to submit any screenshot, image, note, URL or other content you provide to Qick.
Your content
You keep any rights you have in content you submit to Qick.
By submitting content to Qick, you give us permission to process, store, analyse, display and use that content as needed to provide, protect, maintain and improve Qick.
This includes using submitted content for scoring, moderation, previews, account history, support, abuse prevention, debugging and product improvement.
Do not submit content that you do not have the right to submit.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Qick.
You must not:
- use Qick for unlawful, harmful, abusive or fraudulent activity
- attempt to access accounts, data or systems without permission
- interfere with or disrupt Qick’s systems
- scrape, overload, reverse engineer or bypass Qick’s limits or security controls
- submit malware, harmful code or deceptive links
- use Qick to harass, exploit, threaten or harm others
- submit content that violates someone else’s rights
- use Qick in a way that breaches applicable laws or platform rules
- attempt to use Qick for unsupported explicit sexual content or other content we choose not to process
Unsupported content and safety
Qick may refuse to score, store or display certain content.
This may include content that appears illegal, abusive, exploitative, unsafe, spammy, technically risky, explicit, adult, private without permission, or otherwise unsupported by Qick.
We may block submissions, remove previews, restrict access, suspend accounts or take other reasonable steps to protect users, third parties and the service.
AI-generated results
Qick may use AI systems to generate scores, summaries, classifications, moderation decisions, recommendations and other product outputs.
AI-generated results can be incomplete, outdated, inconsistent or wrong.
You should not rely on Qick as your only source of information. Qick helps you decide whether something looks worth your attention; it does not make the decision for you.
Third-party content and services
Qick may interact with or link to third-party websites, platforms, content and services.
Third-party content is controlled by its own owners, creators or platforms. Qick does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, policies, actions or changes.
Opening third-party links is your choice and your responsibility.
Intellectual property
Qick, including its name, branding, design, software, features, text, graphics, logos and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer or create derivative works from Qick except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
Feedback
If you send us feedback, suggestions or ideas, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation.
We appreciate feedback, but please do not send confidential ideas unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Service changes and availability
Qick is an evolving product. We may add, remove, change, limit or pause features at any time.
We aim to keep Qick useful and available, but we do not guarantee that Qick will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every platform or link.
Some features may be experimental, limited, delayed or unavailable depending on your location, account, plan, device, content type or third-party platform behaviour.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to Qick if we believe you have breached these Terms, created risk for Qick or others, misused the service, violated the law, or caused technical, security or operational issues.
You may stop using Qick at any time.
Deleting your account may remove or disable access to your personal account data, subject to our Privacy Policy and any legal, billing, security or operational retention requirements.
Disclaimers
Qick is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and uninterrupted operation.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Qick and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity or business.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Qick is limited to the amount you paid to Qick in the three months before the claim, or NZD $50 if you have not paid Qick.
Some laws do not allow certain limits of liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
Indemnity
To the extent allowed by law, you agree to protect Qick and its operators from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from your misuse of Qick, your breach of these Terms, your submitted content, or your violation of someone else's rights.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, unless applicable law in your location requires otherwise.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled by the courts or dispute resolution processes available under applicable law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the app, website or other reasonable means.
The updated Terms will apply from the effective date shown on the page. If you continue using Qick after changes take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
